Professional
After retiring from a 28-year corporate career, I spent a year re-discovering myself. With the help of a professional coach I discovered my lifelong passion and purpose – the desire to help others succeed and reach their full potential. Through training and continuing education I discovered how powerful my inherent abilities are. Today, I not only have the desire and the natural ability, but also the professional qualifications plus several proprietary and customizable programs to truly help my clients!
I completed coach training at the Gardner Institute, an ICF accredited school. I am licensed to coach using the proprietary Mindset for Success – The Dialogues, the Gardner Institute’s proprietary coaching model, developed by Dr. Jayne Gardner, and Mindset of Christ – The Biblical Dialogues, which includes scripture supporting the coaching concepts; and I am certified as a Wired to Win instructor. I am also the training director for the Gardner Institute Coach Training Program.
My coaching experience includes over 500 client coaching hours with both individuals and groups. I am studying Positive Psychology – the scientific study of what makes individuals and organizations thrive, and I incorporate these concepts daily in my coaching and my personal life. I focus on my client’s strengths and use a variety of assessment tools, including StrengthsFinder 2.0 and the VIA Survey of Character Strengths (available on U Penn’s Authentic Happiness website).
Personal
My husband and I have been married for ‘decades’ and have lived in North Texas for over 20 years; we’re originally from the Midwest. We have two adult children who are both successful in their lives. They each have a child, so we are the extremely proud grandparents of two wonderful granddaughters. My life experience also includes a diverse, geographically dispersed, large extended family and lots of long-term friends – and making new friends daily!
I love nature and the great outdoors, especially mountains, streams and tall pine trees, so naturally snow skiing and hiking are at the top of my interest list. I also love bicycling, cooking, gardening and of course family time, especially with our grandchildren!
